### Firebase Anonymous Authentication

We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to provide you with a seamless experience:

- No personal information (email, phone number, or name) is required
- An anonymous user ID is automatically generated for your device
- This allows us to sync your progress across sessions while maintaining your privacy
- You can convert to a permanent account at any time (feature coming soon)

## How We Use Your Information

## Tajweed Arena Audio Recordings

The Tajweed Arena feature allows you to record and submit Quran recitations:

### Practice Mode
- Recordings are stored **locally on your device only**
- No recordings are uploaded to our servers
- You have full control to delete recordings at any time
- Recordings are not shared with anyone

### Competition Mode
- You can **optionally** submit recordings to weekly challenges
- Submitted recordings are uploaded to our secure servers
- Recordings are shared with the community for voting and feedback
- You can delete your submissions at any time
- Recordings are automatically reviewed for quality and appropriateness
- We reserve the right to remove inappropriate submissions

**Important**: By submitting a recording to a competition, you grant us permission to:
- Store the recording on our servers
- Share it with other AyahFlow users for community voting
- Use it for quality assurance and feature improvement

## Data Storage and Security

### Where Your Data is Stored

- **Firebase Firestore**: Learning progress, user stats, achievements, leaderboard data
- **Firebase Cloud Storage**: Audio recordings submitted to Tajweed Arena competitions
- **Local Device Storage**: Practice mode audio recordings, cached Quran text, app preferences

### Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

- All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- Firebase security rules restrict access to your personal data
- Audio recordings are stored in secure cloud storage with access controls

## Leaderboard and Social Features

### Leaderboard Participation

- **Opt-in by default**: You are automatically enrolled in weekly leaderboards
- **Opt-out anytime**: You can disable leaderboard participation in settings
- **Data shown publicly**: Anonymous display name, avatar, country flag, weekly XP, total XP, and league tier
- **Blocking users**: You can hide up to 3 users per day from your leaderboard view
- **Reporting**: You can report inappropriate behavior or usernames

### Profile Visibility

- **Public profiles**: Your profile is visible to other users by default
- **Private profiles**: You can change your profile to private in settings (feature coming soon)
- **Profile data**: Display name, avatar, country, competition segment, league status, and XP totals

### Follow/Friend System

- **Follow requests**: You can send follow requests to other users
- **Approval required**: Users with private profiles must approve follow requests
- **Mutual connections**: Build your network of fellow learners

AyahFlow uses the following third-party services:
